I'm back ...Boston USA:)

I'm back...I have a looong time since I last wrote here but here I am back again...I hope this time I will be more committed to my ' food trip around the world ' .

Well, I will start now with the last experience I've had..and that is my trip to Boston..as amazing as it was unexpected :) I enjoyed every little bit of it and food was part of the trip..not really because I am a big fan of their food but because I took everything as an experience... I tried Lobster Bisque and Lobster and of course the famous hot-dog I always see in the American movies. It was all going well with a Samuel Adams - local beer .

Mexico

After France..a trip to Mexico was ahead of us..and included of course new food..

After around 9 hours of driving (not me but still...) we finally arrived at our first destination ..Bordeaux..where the rain there was only inviting you to drink wine and enjoy the food..and this is exactly what we did..

First road trip with our friends and of course trying new food was on my list of ' to- do' ..Do not recall the name of many dishes but they were tasty and I really enjoyed my time...

Sunday's dinner :)

After a long walk and a bit of exercise, I cooked something healthy for dinner..Asparagus with salmon ...which would have stayed even healthier if I hadn't gone for some dessert to the small shop in the corner of the building :)

Saturday lunch :)

Finally some sun in Geneva and with that..also my mood to eat a bit healthier and start doing some exercise.
For this Saturday's lunch I cooked some salmon with calabasita and pepperoni . Easy to make and really tasty .

Sushi...

From time to time I cook sushi :) I enjoy it though it does not always test as good as I wish..

Breakfast in bed...

I woke up Saturday...my boyfriend said he wants some eggs and a coffee..but that I shouldn't cook yet...my first thoughts were that maybe we don't have eggs in the house or that he broke the eggs by accident..but no..the truth was waaay better than my thoughts...he had ordered for us ...breakfast in bed ...well..that is a nice way to start the weekend !

Home..Braila..and tasty food

I went home for a few days..I saw all my family and friends..and a tasted of course some nice food...that brings a lot of memories :)

Strawberries...innocent strawberries

I am using strawberries to make my own " capsunata " ..this means I am mixing them with sugar and strong alcohol...and then just wait for everything to come together and create a nice ' digestivo ' .

Zurich - Sunday walk

On Sunday morning (well was around 2pm but was morning for me) ..we left for a walk to a famous street - a shopping area built in a viaduct . Smart idea I would say :) Why waste the space ?
All the small places you can see with numbers on them are small shops , with vintage or modern items - the perfect place to buy something to remember or maybe a present for someone..unfortunately for us was Sunday so everything was closed..But that didn't stopped us from having a beer :)

Zurich - Nelly Furtado

I can divide this post in 2 parts - the one that I enjoyed and the one that I didn't like. 

I enjoyed Zurich (though the main purpose of the trip was the concert) ...I being there, walking on the street, stopping for a kebab with beer, for a coffe with dessert then walking again and closing the night with a nice movie - Night train to Lisbon.

Nothing fancy with respect to food but somehow all the things went together and I got really relaxed after a busy week at work...I know..work is meant to keep you busy..but still sometimes you feel it's too much and then it comes the time for a well-deserved break :)

Zurich - Continental Hotel  - A really nice hotel situated close to the train station. The bed and the service were really nice and I would definitely go back there next time. The staff was preparing the room for sleeping - leaving next to the bed the slippers, water and some chocolates to make the dreams sweeter  http://continental-zurich.hotel-rn.com/?lbl=ggl   

Zurich - The concert - Nelly Furtado

I am leaving this for the end as it was not that nice or maybe it's me that had the wrong expectations. Nelly left us wait 30 min without any music or entertainment , had a show of only 1 hour 20 min..overall was fine but not a real concert..more like atmosphere for a night out in the club..
