London and its taste II

I have to admit I gave up the 5 o'clock tea for a biiig cup of cappuccino...and after some time,of course I got hungryy..so time again to try local dishes...What else than local pork pie, something that tasted a bit like the Romanian musaca, and some fried liver with bacon and smashed potato...Potato is the king of their menu..fried,boiled,smashed,baked and I am sure they have more ways of cooking it..it almost in every dish in a pub. I cannot complain about this though since I am Romanian and this means I am quite trained in eating and enjoying potatoes....If you like potatoes as well, then just find some British dishes recipes if you are running out of ideas for your meals... Bon appetit !

London and its taste I

I tried the famous ‘ Fish and chips ‘ in Shakespeare Pub in London . Honestly there is too much fuss for just french fires and fried fish...and there is too much oil in all their food..No wonder that the British now are facing an obese population and advertise a lot of products to help people lose weight..
More on the food that I have tried..coming up next

Los reyes magos with honey cake

Los reyes magos..A catholic celebration when children write a secret letter to the three magic kings , tie it to a balloon and let it go to the sky...Up they fly thousands of balloons with thousands of wishes and hopes of people.. For this day, also anticipating my grandma's birthday, my first cake of 2013.. Honey cake with no fat at all

Recipe : 300g flour, 3/4 cup of honey, 125g sugar, 1 glass of milk,1 baking powder, cinnamon and any other flavours you want . Warm up the milk and mix with the honey, add  flour, baking powder, sugar and the cinnamon and bake in the oven for 30 min at 180 C. The cake is a bit dry so it goes perfectly with a glass of milk .
